The Chicago Bears mailbag is back again. Now the team is coming off its second-straight victory with a chance to go into the bye at 3-1 this Sunday.

It won’t be easy. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are a tough team who has beaten them each of the past two seasons and is sporting one of the hottest offenses in football. It’s yet another big test for this rising Bears defense. Can their offense also get going against what has been an average Bucs defense? All questions will be answered. In the meantime, here are some questions fans abroad would like answered.

You see any chance Kevin White sees targets at all this season, or at this point is it safe to say he isn’t in the Bears plans moving forward?

I do think White will see action this year and I think it will be sooner than you think thanks to the shoulder injury to Anthony Miller. My guess is the Bears have held White out because they don’t trust him as a route runner. Route running is crucial in any variation of a West Coast offense. That’s why Miller was able to jump right in. He was already a solid route runner at Memphis. White has only played five games in his career and wasn’t any good at it coming out of West Virginia.

If I’m being honest, I think White will see more snaps but he won’t be a focal point of the game plan. Josh Bellamy may actually get more action than him. Why? Bellamy, for his faults, is a sharp route runner.

Who do you need (want) to see make improvements or take that next step more… Trubisky or Nagy playcalling/game management (TO/challenge plays, etc).

I’ve actually been fine with how Nagy has managed games and called plays. Sure he’s made a few mistakes with timeouts but his clock management (for the most part) has been good and his ability to generate time-consuming drives is impressive. He also shows a knack for getting receivers open, though I do believe he’s a little too in love with the screen game right now.

No, my focus is on Trubisky. I get people aren’t happy with him. He needs to play better. That’s true. However, I’ve seen progress. He’s slowly picking things up but it still looks like the game is moving too fast for him. I want to see him process the field better, start using his progressions more and not be so quick to run when his first read isn’t there.
