With week four of the college football season in the books, let’s pinpoint some key takeaways from this week’s college football action.

In week four of the college football season, a majority of the top-tier teams in college football did exactly what they needed to do to strengthen their quest towards the College Football Playoff.

A road conference test awaited the #3 Clemson Tigers and they proceeded to thump Georgia Tech, 49-21. Largely in part to a defense that held the third ranked rushing offense in the country (331 ypg) to just 146 rushing yards on the day.

Sloppy play by the Missouri Tigers ultimately sealed their fate as the #2 Georgia Bulldogs dominated, 43-29. The #4 Ohio State Buckeyes saw their leader, head coach Urban Meyer, return to the sideline after a three-game suspension. They also overwhelmed Tulane, 49-6.

Without further ado, here are some key takeaways from this past week in college football.
