Michael Thomas is on pace for 202 catches in 2018

As crazy as the Brees stat was, one of his favorite targets has one going as well. Michael Thomas has emerged among the best wide receivers in the NFL. Proof again that the Saints are excellent at finding great receiving talent outside the first round. Thomas is on a torrid stretch of his own. The  NFL record for most catches in a season was set back in 2002.

That year Marvin Harrison hauled in 143 passes. Thomas is setting up to leap over that like Superman in a single bound. He has 38 catches already in three games, putting him on pace for 202 by the end of this season. Most would say there’s no chance that holds up, but the way Brees is playing? It might be insanely worth considering.
