Kerryon Johnson was first Lion to hit 100 yards rushing since 2013

People have tried to illustrate for years just how much the Detroit Lions offense has gone through the right arm of Matthew Stafford. Nothing happens unless he’s throwing the ball. Finally, on Sunday night at Ford Field during a rout of the New England Patriots, people got a stiff reminder when rookie Kerryon Johnson became the first 100-yard rusher the team has had in five years.

Yep. It was November of 2013 the last time it happened. Reggie Bush ran for 117 yards in a win over the Green Bay Packers. Then that was it. The Lions would not witness that simple feat again until September 23rd of 2018. The amazing thing is the team is undefeated in its last four games where they’ve had a 100-yard rusher. Maybe they should try keeping it up.
