Key matchups:

John Wetzel vs. Khalil Mack

With Smith out, the burden of blocking superstar Bears pass rusher falls to backup John Wetzel. The veteran seemed to hold up well in his first serious action last week against Los Angeles but they didn’t have anybody close to Mack’s caliber. Wetzel is far from an ideal solution to the problem for Arizona. They’ll have to give him a lot of help in the game or it could turn into a massacre of the Cardinals quarterbacks.

Allen Robinson vs. Patrick Peterson

Through the first two games, Allen Robinson has been exactly what the Bears hoped:  a security blanket for Trubisky. That job will be a bit more difficult this week as the Cardinals are almost certain to put their All-Pro cornerback Patrick Peterson on him. Trubisky will have to be careful. Attacking somebody of that caliber too much is bound to lead to bad outcomes. It will be interesting to see how Robinson fairs in his toughest matchup yet.
