2018 NFL Week 3: Quick picks for every Sunday game

PRIMETIME
New England Patriots at Detroit Lions
This was supposed to be a competitive reunion between the old master and his former disciple. Instead it looks like a pending massacre by the agitated Patriots on a reeling Lions team. Matt Patricia has gotten off to a rough start. His defense has been ripped through for 78 points in two games while the offense remains firmly on the shoulders of Matthew Stafford.
Meanwhile, the Patriots just got reinforcements for Tom Brady in the form of Josh Gordon at wide receiver. Off-the-field concerns aside, he’s the most gifted player the Patriots have had at that position since Randy Moss. Patricia knows that offense well and might be able to stymie it but this feels like a game that could get ugly in a hurry.
