Defense

OLB Justin Hollins

The Oregon pass rush is definitely serious with these two pass rushers I am going to mention.

Outside linebacker Justin Hollins leads the team in sacks with three and the redshirt senior also has two forced fumbles and 5.5 tackles for loss. He also has an interception, three pass deflections, and 17 total tackles, showing his versatility as a linebacker that can do multiple things in this defense as a rusher and in coverage.

He is a flat out disruptor and can make the Oregon defense much better with him on the field.

DE Jalen Jelks

The senior defensive end leads the team in total tackles with 20 as he is also a productive rusher as well, notching 2.5 sacks so far in 2018. Jalen Jelks has four tackles for loss and recovered a fumble in the Bowling Green State game in week one. Jelks and Hollins are versatile enough to move around and with that pair on opposite sides, they can create a mess for the offensive tackles and could create havoc for Costello. They will definitely be a key part in stopping Love and the Stanford run game as they can get most of their tackles behind the line of scrimmage. The pressure from this duo will help out the secondary if they struggle covering Stanford’s pass catchers.
