Browns to Watch

Myles Garrett

Garrett had a fairly impressive Rookie season, especially for a player that did not play in all 16 games on the docket. Garrett has been clocked at 3.7 seconds for the amount of time it takes him to get to make a play on the quarterback.

Garrett is a fierce competitor who gives Cleveland a major boost at the end position, already tallying two sacks this season. Expect Garrett to rip through the line, and make Sam Darnold’s first trip to the dog pound, an evening in purgatory.

David Njoku

The second year player out of Miami has shown growth from year one to year two already. Taylor has shown in both previous games that Njoku is a target he is going to find in the open field, targeting him 14 times through two games.

No, Njoku is not dazzling anyone with ridiculous catches, jump balls, or a multitude of yardage per game, however, he has begun to show he can be reliable. If Hue Jackson needs him to block or catch, consider it done.

Denzel Ward

Ward is an interesting and intriguing man to watch play football. He’s smart throughout his pre-snap motions, and even smarter when it comes to covering his assignment.

Ward picked off Big Ben in Week One, but during that game, I’m pretty sure anyone could have. None the less, that play shows us that Ward does have the potential to live up to the hype of a fourth overall draft pick.

If Ward does not have an impressive game against fellow rookie, Darnold, I’d be very surprised.
