Carolina Panthers

Safety . 5. player. 87. . S. Carolina

The Carolina Panthers aren’t quite clicking at the moment. They’re 1-1 and in no serious danger yet but it feels like something is off. Lack of playmaking at the back end of the defense is certainly a place to start. Their safety tandem of Da’Norris Searcy and Mike Adams hasn’t been all that great in coverage. They’re not horrible but it’s clear they lack something that can’t take advantage of what is still a pretty good pass rush. If there is an opportunity at the deadline to go after a difference-maker, say like an Earl Thomas, and they’re in the playoff hunt? They have to consider it.
