San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers are starting to find out that Solomon Thomas might not be the edge rush presence they were hoping for as they shifted to a 4-3 system. As a result, the team’s ability to get after the quarterback is limited. DeForest Buckner has been terrific but outside of him, there isn’t much. The team tried to make a play for Khalil Mack but the price got too high. They may have to see if they can find a reasonable bargain from a team that will be in selling mode next month. Odds are it would be a somewhat older veteran who still has some juice in his legs and can give them a nice push for the remaining half of the season.
