The odds of the Jaguars making a deal at this point are remoted. They’re 2-0 and in control of their AFC destiny as they look towards the Super Bowl. However, things change fast. There is always the possibility they may look to get a head start on 2019. Their salary cap is going to be a mess next year and they’ll have to unload at least one of their big contracts on defense. The one who stands out the most in this regard is Malik Jackson. Unloading the big defensive lineman would bring a badly needed $11 million cap relief and likely net them a solid draft choice as well. With Taven Bryan waiting in the wings, this is a move they can afford.
