@JRDillon2 - Here’s my question, I haven’t watched film again but why did it seem like we couldn’t get Howard running against Seattle like I expected us to be able to?

Two factors I think. The Bears didn’t make a concerted enough effort to establish him early. It was apparent they were trying to get Trubisky comfortable. The other was the simple fact that Seattle was dead set on stopping Howard. They had a lot of stacked boxes in that game and were clogging running lanes with desperation. It was clear they were daring Trubisky to beat them. It worked in the first half but Mitch finally burned them in the second. Expect future opponents to try the same tactic.

@TKdaVoice - When will the Bears start to consistently stack drives together and become a top offense? And why was the running game so bad last week?

The Bears offense is like a skyscraper that was only recently commissioned. They’re in the process right now of setting the foundation. It takes time to set the girders and concrete in place to build towards the sky. I’d expect noticeable results will start to appear by the second half of the season. As to the running game, it was a simple case of Seattle making it the key part of their defensive game plan. Howard faced a loaded box almost every time he ran the ball. It’s hard to run that way.
