With week three of the college football season in the books, let’s pinpoint some key takeaways from this week’s college football action.

The entertainment dial was turned up a bit across college football this week.

That was the case even with a number of games being postponed due to Hurricane Florence and her presence off the coast of the Carolinas. Despite that, college football was it’s normal, pleasing self as it provided a few upsets, a number of blowouts, a fabulous fake punt executed by North Texas that led to a huge blowout win at Arkansas, and a 41-point win by the Kansas Jayhawks against a Power 5 opponent. I kid you not.

The week also produced a near upset by the Vanderbilt Commodores as they were narrowly defeated by the eighth-ranked Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. A solid win by the Texas Longhorns over the USC Trojans may have been the exact remedy the program needed to steer in the right direction, maybe.

A week after pulling off an upset, the Arizona State Sun Devils swung and miss on the road against San Diego State. Week three is in the past so let’s pinpoint a few key takeaways.
