What’re the odds?

With the Supreme Court ruling nixing a federal ban on sports gambling over the summer, new doors have opened for fans to place legal bets from the comfort of their couch.

Thanks to our partners at OddsShark we have the latest betting lines for Sunday afternoon’s game in New Orleans.

Odds

Line: New Orleans (-9.5)

Over/Under: 49.5

Predicted Score: 28-16 New Orleans win

New Orleans will WIN, Cover the Spread, and the Total will go Under.

After seeing Ryan Fitzpatrick and Tampa Bay score 48 on the Saints defense last week it’s not crazy to think the Browns can score more than 16 points. They don’t have the weapons Tampa Bay does with Mike Evans, DeSean Jackson, and Chris Godwin, but they have a capable quarterback paired with Jarvis Landry, David Njoku, and Carlos Hyde.

If New Orleans can’t clean up things on defense and generate a pass rush, they could be looking at another shootout on Sunday.

I think it’s plausible that the Browns can score at least 21 again this week and disrupt Brees with Garrett throughout the game, making this closer than some think.

I’m taking the over in this one, either cause the Browns and Saints force another shootout or the Saints simply blowout the Browns. Seeing 50 points scored in this game isn’t out of the realm of possibility.
