Jaguars learned their lessons from the Patriots well

Jacksonville admitted after their crushing loss in the AFC championship that they’d made a huge mistake playing conservative in the 2nd half. They sat on their lead, leaned on the defense and tried to run out the clock. Tom Brady predictably made them pay for it. This game at home offered their first chance to show whether or not they’d learned anything. They did.

The Jaguars were aggressive from the outset. Blake Bortles came out throwing and never stopped through all four quarters. He carved up the Patriots defense for four touchdown passes and made a number of other huge plays that cemented what could turn out to be a huge tiebreaking victory in the race for homefield advantage. An impressive display.
