USC Keys To Victory

Heavy Dose Of Carr & Ware

USC’s passing game is being led by a couple of true freshmen so Clay Helton needs to focus his game plan on the ground game. Senior Aca’Cedric Ware and sophomore Stephen Carr are the bell cows of the rushing attack. Both have experience and must take on the responsibility of jumpstarting the offense. If Carr and Ware get it started on the ground then Daniels and St. Brown can profit from the play action pass.

Rattle Ehlinger

The USC pass rush has produced seven sacks on the year and arguably their best EDGE guy hasn’t recorded one yet. Christian Rector is yet to get to the quarterback in 2018 but it is not of question of ‘if’ but of ‘when.’

That question should be answered against Texas. Rector, Cameron Smith, and Porter Gustin are the biggest rushing threats. If all three can get under Ehlinger’s skin and cause him to feel uncomfortable in the pocket then USC may just run away with this one.
