Ole Miss Keys To Victory

Aggressive Play Calling: This is an Ole Miss team that will not have a bowl game to play in at the conclusion of this season due to NCAA infractions. So playing the number team in the country on their home field is probably as close to a bowl as the Rebels will get. Playing the cream of the crop in a conservative manner will equate to this being a one-sided affair in favor of Alabama. Whether it’s consistently testing this Alabama secondary or implementing a mix of creative formations, Ole Miss will have to roll back the sleeves in terms of play calling to generate big plays against an excellent Crimson Tide defense.

Thin Margin For Error: When playing Alabama, you can expect physicality on both sides and a team that rarely beats themselves. No question that Ole Miss is a considerable underdog in this one, so when it comes to penalties to turnovers to pre-snap readiness, Ole Miss does not have room for mistakes here. Alabama feeds off opponents who provide plenty of opportunities for success.

Win The Turnover Battle: Going back to the beginning of last season, in the past 16 games played, the Alabama offense has committed just 12 turnovers. They are pretty polished in that department and rarely turn the ball over to the opposing offense. The Ole Miss defense will not be a shutdown unit in this one and the way to make up for it is by limiting offensive drives and force an offense with a quarterback that has only two career starts, cough the ball up at inopportune times.
