Alabama Keys To Victory

Run Game Execution: There is no secret that Nick Saban loves to establish a run game on offense in order to open up the passing element. The offense has established back-to-back 200-yard outings to open the season with 222 against Louisville and 278 against Arkansas State last week. Getting Najee Harris and Damien Harris established in the run game will crucial. That tactic not only will it control the game clock and keep the Ole Miss offense on the sideline, but it also attacks a weakness on the Ole Miss defense as they are currently 107th in the country in run defense, allowing 202.5 rushing yards per game.

A-Game In The Secondary: It is also no secret that Ole Miss moves the ball mainly with their lethal passing game. Between a foursome of Brown, D.K. Metcalf, DeMarkus Lodge, and Braylon Sanders, they account for 40 of the team’s 46 receptions this season and all four average at least 16 yards per receptions. The Alabama secondary will have a tough task before them. Cornerbacks Trevon Diggs and Saivion Smith are excellent athletes and capable of being effective. Free safety Deionte Thompson leads the team in tackles and pass deflections and will be very busy during this contest.
