If after this year Mitch is still visibly struggling, how long do you think the Bear will give him before they cut their losses? I’m hoping he plays 2 full years at least then we can make a more informed decision.

The research I’ve done regarding variations on the West Coast offense that Matt Nagy is running is this:  it takes 2-3 years for a quarterback to truly master it. So to give up on Trubisky after one season would be shortsighted and inadvisable. The Bears made it clear that they’re committed to him for the foreseeable future, as they should be. Next year they should use what few resources they have to continue building up the team. Then in 2020, if it’s still not working, they’ll have two 2nd round picks on hand to perhaps bring in some competition. They can’t afford to be impatient about this. It’s time they did it right.

Does Khalil Mack have any former teammates or coaches that hes now reunited with here in Chicago… Ty

Mack does not have any former teammate in Chicago with him. The closest he’s come is some former opponents like Chase Daniel who played in Kansas City and Danny Trevathan who played in Denver. The same goes for the coaching staff. Matt Nagy was the offensive coordinator for the Chiefs in 2016 and 2017. He understood fully who Mack is and what it takes to game plan against him. That familiarity no doubt led to the Bears making their aggressive play to get him.
