2 questions..1. What is more concerning with you going forward, Cody Whitehair snap exchange or The staff (Harry) choosing Kush over Daniel’s? 2. What’s your assessment of CB play, any concerns?

Easily it’s Whitehair’s snap issues. Usually when a guy has three seasons of starting experience at center, he should be over such problems by now. Yet his continue to persist. The switch to the dead snap seemed to help a little but it’s not going away. As to the Kush decision, I was against it but I understand their reasoning. It’s not that Daniels played poorly. It’s that they don’t feel he’s ready for the creative blitz and stunt schemes defenses will throw at him. That’s perfectly fair. Kush has seen it and knows how to react. Daniels will.

As to the cornerback play, I wasn’t too discouraged by it. They had some rough moments in the second half against Green Bay but they weren’t helped by the pass rush disappearing nor the fact that Aaron Rodgers was delivering pinpoint passes. They just need to maintain their discipline in crunch time.

@BarberSquires

After week 1 have your expectations changed in either direction about how good or bad this team can be this season?

No. My original prediction for them was 9-7 this year with a close loss to Green Bay on opening night. That’s exactly how things played out. It was a painful way to lose sure, but there was also plenty of good on display. This team is so much more talented than last year and still just scratching the surface of how good it can be. Khalil Mack and Roquan Smith are catching up on conditioning and the playbook. Trubisky is finding his comfort level both in the new offense and with his all-new receiving corp. I believe this team will look so much better in the second half of the season than they do right now.
