15. San Francisco 49ers

42. . EDGE. Clemson. Austin Bryant . 15. player

The opening game exposed that the San Francisco 49ers defense, for all its energy and effort, is still lacking in a number of areas. None more so than the edge rusher position. They just couldn’t get to Kirk Cousins with any consistency. Considering the Vikings are supposed to have one of the more iffy offensive lines this year, that’s a bad sign. They need a presence on the end who can demand attention. Austin Bryant is another part of that loaded Clemson front four. He might be the most unpolished but also the most gifted. He’s got size, power, quickness and can take over games when everything clicks for him. A good fit for that system.
