Ryan Fitzpatrick, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Sometimes in week one of the NFL season, things get really weird.

In the case of the 1:00 game between the New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers in New Orleans, things got extra weird.

Everyone would have expected a quarterback in this game to have a near-perfect rating, completing 75 percent of his passes with four touchdowns and a rushing touchdown tossed in for good measure.

What no one would expect is for that quarterback to be anyone other than Drew Brees.

Even the suspended Jameis Winston might have gotten a few votes over Fitzpatrick to have that kind of game on Sunday, but it was Ryan Fitzpatrick who stole the show and led the Buccaneers to one of the most shocking and impressive victories around the NFL in week one.

Fitzpatrick will have a hard time matching this five touchdown performance the rest of the season, but for the time being, it has the NFC South shell-shocked and the New Orleans Saints back at the drawing board.
