Khalil Mack and Roquan Smith could be game-changers

It definitely wasn’t all bad for the Bears. The first half was an eye-opener for how much this team has changed in a year. Nowhere more so than their defensive front seven. Khalil Mack, their big trade addition was utterly unstoppable for the first 30 minutes. In that span, he got multiple pressures on the quarterback, a sack, a forced and recovered fumble and a pick-six.

Considering he missed all of training camp and preseason, that’s incredible. Then their was their 1st round pick, inside linebacker Roquan Smith. He didn’t play much in the game, but when he did he made some things happen. His very first play as a pro was a sack of Deshone Kizer in the first half. He too missed all of camp and the preseason.

Try to imagine what it will be like in the second half of 2018 when those two are up to speed.
