Houston Cougars v. Arizona Wildcats: Keys, predictions, and more
By Talon Graff
Arizona Players To Watch
Khalil Tate – Quarterback
A slow start to a hopeful Heisman run in 2018 should motivate Tate to redeem himself and the rest of the offense. Scoring 10 points in the first half and then laying an egg in the third does not scream efficient. Khalil Tate is a rare find when it comes to dual-threat ability. Kevin Sumlin needs to find ways to utilize him and the offense needs to get on the same page. Tate will be looking to bounce back and hopefully get his Heisman campaign straightened out.
Colin Schooler – Linebacker
The Wildcats middle linebacker was in on 16 total tackles and also responsible for a tackle behind the line of scrimmage. Schooler needs to hold down the middle of the Cat defense to earn the win. If Schooler and the front seven can shut down the Houston running game the rest of the defense can handle the one-dimensional offense.
Shawn Poindexter – Wide Receiver
The leading receiver for Arizona needs to get on the same page as Tate and blow the roof of off the Houston defense. Poindexter is a tall receiver who should revolve around the passing attack this week.
