Keys to Victory & Prediction

Clemson: Don’t let the QB position be a distraction in a tough road environment

In a tough road environment like Kyle Field, the embarrassment of riches Clemson has at the quarterback position can quickly morph into just an embarrassment.

If Clemson doesn’t pull the right strings at QB in this game, and they start making mistakes, they could lose this game and inspire some confidence to the rest of the ACC that the league is open for business.

Don’t let the quarterback position become a distraction or an issue in this game. Dabo Swinney is going to be counted on to pull all the right strings, and while he has to make sure he’s playing the right guy, now is not the time to be splitting reps for the sake of fairness. This is a tough place to play for any quarterback, so find the hot hand as quickly as possible, and ride it out.

Texas A&M: No mistakes, make life tough on Clemson’s QBs

It may sound extremely simple, but if Texas A&M can play mistake-free football offensively and make life a little tough on Clemson’s quarterbacks (this includes the help of the 12th man), they can pull off the ‘upset’ at home.

This is a huge opportunity for A&M’s quarterback Kellen Mond to put himself on the national map and it’s a chance for Texas A&M to get on the board with an early season victory against an opponent Jimbo Fisher is obviously very familiar with.

Texas A&M needs to turn Clemson’s QB situation into a distraction for the team, force some turnovers, and limit mistakes offensively.
