Texas A&M Players to Watch

Kellen Mond (QB, Sophomore)

Clemson isn’t the only team in this game with a big-time quarterback prospect on the roster.

Sophomore quarterback Kellen Mond enters his sophomore year with the team with huge expectations, and through one tune-up game, he definitely looks the part.

Mond completed 17-of-25 passes with 184 yards and two touchdowns in his first game this season. He also added a rushing touchdown and can get the job done with his legs as well as his arm.

This game will be a turning point for Mond and Texas A&M, who are currently unranked nationally. Mond has a chance to really put himself on the map on a much larger scale.

Jace Sternberger (TE, Junior)

The former JUCO transfer has a pretty awesome story and road to Division I football and immediately proved his worth in the Texas A&M offense, catching five passes and two touchdowns in the team’s week one win.

Going up against such an athletic defense in Clemson, Sternberger is going to have to do what he can to exploit the Clemson linebackers and make himself available to Kellen Mond throughout this game.
