Key matchups:

Khalil Mack vs. Bryan Bulaga – The acquisition of Mack by Chicago came with a thunderclap. Suddenly a defense that was top 10 last year has a pass rusher who is a virtual guarantee for 10 sacks a season. While he hasn’t had much time to absorb his new defensive playbook, he knows how to go after the quarterback. He’ll be matched up against Packers veteran tackle Bryan Bulaga who is recently recovered from ACL surgery.

Trey Burton vs. Packers ILBs – Chicago figures to feature the tight end in their new offense a lot and free agent signing Trey Burton showed plenty of promise in the preseason. This might not be good news for the Packers. Inside linebacker was never their strong point on defense and now they’re already down a starter in Jake Ryan who tore his ACL. Worse still 3rd round rookie Oren Burks is unlikely to play with a shoulder issue. That means it’s down to Antonio Morrison or Korey Toomer to fill that void.
