Alabama Throttles Louisville

Saturday displayed a complete beat down by the defending national champions, only this time it was not against an FCS opponent or a lower tier program.

Alabama rocked a respected Louisville football team as if they were looking to send a clear, precise statement.

Despite being embroiled in a quarterback controversy, the Alabama Crimson Tide looked dominant in a 51-14 win over Louisville. A win in which Alabama racked 519 yards of total offense as the defense held the Cardinals to just 26 rushing yards total.

The listed starter is the National Championship hero Tua Tagovailoa. The sophomore lefty was 12-of-16 for 227 yards and two touchdowns and added another rushing touchdown. Former starter Jalen Hurts saw some time on the field and went 5-for-9 for 70 yards but it was clear by the end of the night that Tagovailoa is the guy for the Crimson Tide going forward.

Just don’t ask Nick Saban who his guy is.
