#1:  Los Angeles Rams acquire Marcus Peters from Kansas City

Getting an All-Pro player who is arguably the best at his position in football in his prime should generally cost a pretty penny. While the price tag wasn’t cheap, the fact of the matter is the Los Angeles Rams gave up way less than they probably should’ve for star cornerback Marcus Peters. Here’s a guy with 19 interceptions in just four seasons. He’s the best ballhawk in the NFL.

So for the Kansas City Chiefs to give him and a 6th round compensatory pick up for a 4th round choice and future 2nd round choice is baffling. Peters is a known personality concern but talents like him don’t grow on trees. It feels like they could’ve and should’ve gotten more. He was worth at least a 1st rounder. It’s hard to say why they got so little in return.

The Rams have no reason to complain.
