Boston College RB AJ Dillon

Some call him the best running back in the ACC. Others call him the best running back in all of college football. Either way, Boston College ballcarrier AJ Dillon is a game changing talent that deserves to be on this list.

Dillon won ACC Rookie of the Year and set a Boston College freshman rushing record with 1,589 yards while also adding on 14 touchdowns to boot. It wasn’t until the fifth game of the season that Dillon made a significant impact but when he embarked on a hot streak, he did.

Against Central Michigan, Dillon poured in 120 yards and a touchdown. Two weeks later, on the road at Louisville, he crushed the Cardinals defense with 272 yards and four touchdowns. Beginning in week nine, Dillon rushed for at least 149 yards and that included a three-game stretch against North Carolina State, UConn, and Syracuse where he ran for 196, 200, and 193 yards respectively.

Dillon is your classic, old-school back that is capable of leading a run game by his lonesome and while there will be much more attention on him this season from opposing defenses, his talent is capable of taking over a game at any moment.
