College Football: Dark-Horse Heisman Candidates
The biggest award in college football has a couple darkhorses worth watching this year
The most coveted individual award in all of college football. An award that has seen the likes of Billy Cannon, Ernie Davis, Herschel Walker, Barry Sanders, Charles Woodson, and most recently, Baker Mayfield, carry on its illustrious history.
As we enter the 2018 season, the Heisman campaign will be wide open. Personally, my Heisman favorites entering the season are West Virginia QB Will Grier, Wisconsin RB Jonathan Taylor, Stanford RB Bryce Love, Arizona QB Khalil Tate, and Houston DT Ed Oliver.
That is right. A defensive player makes my list of top Heisman candidates before the season.
But as we all know, the likelihood of a candidate exceeding expectations and winning the Heisman is definitely viable.
So here are my dark horse candidates to possibly have their name embedded in the Heisman campaign and quite possibly, the ceremony itself.
