UCF – Jake Hescock (RS Sophomore)

The Pittsfield, Massachusetts native has yet to record a catch in a college football game. He spent one 2016 as a member of the Wisconsin Badgers and then sat out 2017 due to transfer rules. He is now the starting tight end for the “defending national champions”.

The UCF Knights lost Jordan Akins to the NFL when the Houston Texans selected him in the third round of the draft after he amassed over 1,100 yards and eight touchdowns in his career.

At 6’7 and 250 pounds, Hescock provides a huge target for quarterback McKenzie Milton. He should be able to stay on the field in any situation with the ability to stay in and block while also forcing opposing defenses to game plan for him in the passing game.

UCF has a new head coach in Josh Heupel whose background includes a stint as a tight ends coach in Arizona as well as quarterback coach and offensive coordinator most recently for Missouri.

Last year, MU tight end Albert Okwuegbunam, scored 11 touchdowns and Hescock’s usage could be similar in Orlando.
