Red:  Hroniss Grasu

The former 3rd round pick has managed to survive for three seasons, holding out hope he may yet get back into the starting lineup. Now that dream is at an end. Grasu is just too flawed a player. Despite being a good athlete, his inability to anchor against power and lack of versatility on the interior makes him expendable. Especially with James Daniels and Eric Kush in place as possible backups if Cody Whitehair were to go down with an injury.

Red:  Marcus Cooper

Every time his name has been mentioned this preseason, it’s been for the wrong reasons. Cooper was picked on a lot in coverage against Cincinnati and he hasn’t provided any favorable counters to that image. Throw in his struggles from last year and the ascent of some young undrafted talents like Kevin Toliver and Michael Joseph, there’s just no way to envision him hanging on to his job beyond final cuts. He’ll have to figure out where things went wrong elsewhere.
