30. New England Patriots

30. player. 47. . QB. Oregon. Justin Herbert

The New England Patriots traded Jacoby Brissett and Jimmy Garoppolo last year. Now their succession plan for Tom Brady is in tatters. They may be feeling secure that the 41-year old can survive another season, but it only takes one hit and his body isn’t built for that sort of pounding anymore. They can’t ignore this forever, no matter how much they want to. Justin Herbert gives them the sort of upside talent they need for a long-term plan after the Brady exit. Herbert has size, a live arm and the ability to put touch on his throws at every level of the field. Combine that with underrated mobility and there’s so much Josh McDaniels could do with him.
