17. Detroit Lions

17. player. 50. . DT. Clemson. Dexter Lawrence

The Detroit Lions haven’t done a good enough job over the past few years trying to replace Ndamukong Suh at defensive tackle. They’ve made due with a string of role players but no difference makers. With Ezekiel Ansah approaching 30-years old each day, they have to move quickly on this or risk not maximizing their star pass rusher while still in his prime. Dexter Lawrence has a chance to be a special player at the pro level. His physical gifts are in the same ballpark as Suh. Size, strength, ferocious temperament when his motor is running and athletic for his size. He can take games over when he wants to.
