Already teams are feeling the impact of major injuries on their rosters, and it’s having a substantial impact on the latest 2019 NFL mock draft.

There is just no telling which teams will be the worst going into this season. There are plenty of candidates due to varying circumstances. With some, it’s bad coaching situations. With others, it’s a simple case of a depleted roster, either not having enough talent or missing one or two of their most vital players. That’s often the difference between the good and bad.

There’s no telling how the season will play out but smart money says the #1 overall pick holder in 2019 could turn out to be a surprise. Nothing stays the same forever when it comes to the draft. So who will be the lucky (or unlucky) team to hold sway over the top of the draft? A certain team down south in desperate need of an overhaul.

1. Miami Dolphins

Jonah Williams . 1. player. 59. . OT. Alabama

It’s rare for an offensive tackle to go #1 overall in the draft, but it just so happens the Miami Dolphins have done it before. Back in 2008, they grabbed Jake Long with the #1 pick. He ended up becoming a four-time Pro Bowler. So this is a strategy that has worked for the Dolphins in the past and their offensive line could certainly use a strong boost.

Jonah Williams is fast establishing himself as one of the best blockers in the nation. He anchors the left side of the national champion Alabama team and showcases a balanced skill set. He’s big and strong enough to get a push in the running game while exhibiting quick feet, strong anchor and good hands in his pass protection. He’ll be a ready-made starter.
