NFL preseason grades: Top rookie performances in week two
Chris Warren, RB
If you haven’t seen Raiders running back Chris Warren yet this preseason, you’ll want to get on that.
Warren has football in his blood and was underutilized and vastly undervalued in his time as a member of the Texas Longhorns.
He left school early despite very minimal statistical production, betting on himself at the next level. Unfortunately for him, he wasn’t selected in the 2018 NFL Draft despite a big frame and outstanding athletic measurables.
Warren has, so far, been one of the best players on the Oakland Raiders in the preseason.
Some are even calling him the future at the position for the team.
Through two preseason games, he’s carried the ball 31 times for 196 yards and a touchdown, averaging 6.4 yards per carry.
Warren’s got pass catching ability and is very tough to bring down in the open field at 6-foot-2, 246 pounds.
He is lighting it up for the Raiders through the first two weeks of the preseason.
