27. team. 56. . . . Cincinnati Bengals

Cincinnati hasn’t played beyond the Wild Card game since 1990 and their last playoff win came against the Houston Oilers, a team that no longer exists. Yet, the head coach and quarterback remain in Cincinnati as the team appears content with mediocrity.

I did like a lot of the picks Cincinnati made in the draft this year, starting with Billy Price up the middle. As long as his pec injury from the combine is fully healed he should be a quality center in the league for years. Jessie Bates was an interesting pick in the second round to play behind George Iloka, and Malik Jefferson was a steal in the third round to play WILL behind Vontaze Burfict.

Sam Hubbard was another player I thought the Bengals got a steal with, and if the rest of the Bengals young defensive ends can step a step forward this year, they’ll have a great rotation up front.

The cornerbacks still scare me away from this team, but hopefully William Jackson can stay on the field.

Joe Mixon has a chance to be a star despite his past transgressions, and he appears to be the leading back in Cincinnati this year. Dalton should heavily rely on Mixon for success this year, but he always has number 18 to throw to down the field if needed.
