Alabama Crimson Tide – Jerry Jeudy

The best college football dynasty of our generation, Alabama just continues to crank out NFL talent. The list of names that have gone on to NFL stardom is too long for this article but sometimes the receivers on that list get forgotten. Julio Jones, Amari Cooper, and most recently Calvin Ridley are all Crimson Tide wide receivers to be taken in the first round. Jerry Jeudy is hoping to be the next as he will get his chance to shine in the offense.

Jeudy had 264 yards and two touchdowns as a freshman in an offense that was centered around the running game. Now with Tua Tagovailoa supposedly taking over as the quarterback, the passing game and Jeudy could explode.

Standing at 6’1 and weighing 190 lbs, Jeudy could give AJ Brown a run for his money as the best receiver in the SEC.

SMU Mustangs – Judah Bell

Courtland Sutton was this writer’s WR1 going into the 2018 NFL Draft. So far, the reports coming out of Denver are glowing, to say the least. SMU doesn’t have the luxury of an Alabama to have constant top recruits showing up on campus, so finding a replacement for Sutton could prove to be a bit difficult.

However, Judah Bell was waiting in the wings as Courtland Sutton and Trey Quinn were dominating AAC defenders. Bell is a 6’3, 200 lb redshirt freshman from Tyler, Texas who led the entire country in receiving as a high school senior with over 2,300 yards while reeling in 18 touchdowns.

There might be a few growing pains for Bell but before long he will be a known commodity.
