Joseph Jones (ILB)

When will Roquan Smith sign? Will he ever sign? At this point, nobody has a clue what the #8 overall pick is trying to do. So until something changes the Bears have to be proactive about finding help at inside linebacker. The return of Joel Iyiegbuniwe to practice is a step in the right direction but there’s no harm in adding another talented body.

The Bears should already know a lot about Joseph Jones. He first began to stand out as a linebacker for Northwestern. He’s known for his freakish athleticism and his ability to be effective in coverage situations. Denver has an uncertain situation at inside linebacker, which means anybody can get cut at this point. If Jones breaks free, he’d fit well in Chicago.
