Opponents are playing the EASY difficulty of Matt Nagy and Vic Fangio

A lot of people were concerned with what they saw in Cincinnati. The first-team offense struggling. The first team defense giving up two touchdowns. Here’s the thing though. Matt Nagy and Vic Fangio weren’t taking that seriously. They were basically coaching with 75% of their playbooks in their pockets. Gamers would call this the EASY setting.

In other words, there was no creativity, game planning or adjustments. The coaches are using these games to evaluate personnel. Which guys are showing they can win their matchups without the benefit of the scheme? Once those players pronounce themselves, then the coaches will begin to get serious, at which point the productivity on both sides of the ball should spike.
