The biggest chip in NFL free agency could go all in soon

Dez Bryant, one of the best players remaining in NFL free agency, announced on Twitter he’ll be making visits to NFL teams after this week of preseason games.

Bryant was released by Dallas late in the offseason and turned down a three-year from the Baltimore Ravens shortly after. Since then he hasn’t taken any visits and according to Browns general manager John Dorsey, Bryant hasn’t answered his phone.

Bryant’s only known visit will be in Cleveland, but other teams could reach out after the first weekend of preseason football.

Browns receiver Jarvis Landry has petitioned for Bryant to join him in Cleveland, and the Browns could use the help.

Josh Gordon has not reported to training camp as he deals with a personal issue, and rookie Antonio Callaway was cited for marijuana possession.

Dorsey hasn’t been afraid to make big moves this offseason, adding Landry, Tyrod Taylor, and Carlos Hyde on offense.

Rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield would also love to see Bryant wearing an orange helmet. The number one overall pick found tight end David Njoku for this grab in the back of the end zone Thursday night against the New York Giants.

Having Bryant, Landry, and Njoku as the top three receivers in Cleveland would be more than serviceable for whoever starts in Cleveland. Adding a healthy Gordon and potentially Callaway, if he can stay clean, makes the Browns receiving corp one of the better groups in football.
