Down:  Cody Whitehair (C)

Something is going on with the Bears center. He was great in his rookie season, but since last year he’s developed a persistent problem with snapping the football in the shotgun. Yet again he had another bad snap in Cincinnati that threw Mitch Trubisky off his rhythm. These are mistakes that have persisted with him and can’t be allowed to continue for much long. Hence why the calls for moving Daniels to center will only grow louder.

Up:  DeAndre Houston-Carson (S)

The Bears seemed situated at safety coming into this preseason with Eddie Jackson and Adrian Amos. At least one man is working tirelessly to make the coaches reconsider. DeAndre Houston-Carson, the former 6th round pick out of William & Mary continues to show up. He’s had an excellent training camp, had an interception in the Hall of Fame game and produced a number of positive plays in the first half against the Bengals including a big pass deflection to prevent a touchdown. He’s playing confident.
