5. Miami vs. LSU, September 2nd (Arlington, Texas)

On one side, the Miami Hurricanes will enter this upcoming 2018 season with ACC Championship expectations after a 10-3 season last year that started off with 10 straight victories. The team’s leading passer, leading rusher, NFL-caliber receiver and seven of their top eight tacklers all return. Which means the Canes are talented and have a chip on their shoulder.

On the other, LSU has plenty of talent. That is always evident down in Baton Rouge. There is a “who’s who?” at quarterback which may come down to an incoming transfer from Ohio State (Joe Burrow) or junior Justin McMillan. A pair of receivers in Jonathan Giles and Terrace Marshall will provide excellent targets.

Miami head coach Mark Richt may be a little familiar with LSU after several years at the University of Georgia as head coach. There is a number of questions regarding how good LSU can be this season and this will be a good barometer for both teams based on their respective circumstances.
