Earl Thomas (S)

The All-Pro safety feels he’s at a point in his career where he’s earned a certain degree of respect. He’s still one of the best in football but the Seattle Seahawks aren’t treating him that way. They’re treating him like an aging commodity they aren’t sure whether to keep or get rid of. So he’s made their decision easy. Either give him a new contract worthy of his value or trade him. At this point, he doesn’t care which. He just wants to be where he’s wanted.

Destination:  Kansas City Chiefs

Few teams put a greater emphasis on quality safety play like the Chiefs do. They’re always looking to acquire talent for that position and right now they don’t’ have anybody to play opposite Eric Berry at free safety. Adding a veteran like Thomas would give them a sorely need playmaker in a secondary and that has lost some of its punch since trading Marcus Peters.
