Devontae Booker, RB

On Devontae Booker’s first NFL carry, he burst through the line for a big gain but on the back end of the run, he fumbled the football.

From that point on, he has seemed overly conservative in his running style and appears to seek out contact rather than avoid it so well like he did at Utah.

Booker has great size for a back and is a phenomenal pass catcher, but the vision he showed in college that made him such a dominant back has not been there in the pros.

With that said, Booker’s effectiveness on a per-snap basis went up last season, his second in the NFL, and he is going to be pushed this year by Royce Freeman, De’Angelo Henderson, and another couple of rookies for touches in the offense.

That competition should bring out the best in Booker, who is entering his third year in the NFL and has a chance to really break out for the Broncos this season as their offense should be much more balanced with a quarterback capable of playing efficient football in Case Keenum.
