Jake Butt, TE

Hopefully, no one has forgotten about Jake Butt.

The former All-Big Ten, All-American tight end tore his ACL in January 2017 and has not played any football since.

As a matter of fact, he just put a fully-padded uniform on for the first time at Broncos training camp in nearly 18 months.

Though the Broncos may have tried to get Butt on the field a little more quickly last season if they were competing for a playoff spot, the team ended up shutting him down entirely and allowed him to get to 100 percent.

In the early goings of OTAs and training camp, Butt has looked excellent as a pass catcher and gives the Broncos a dynamic weapon in-line or out wide.

With no clear front-runner at the tight end position, Butt is in a great position to make a major impact in 2018 and beyond. He’s got the most well-rounded skill set at the position for the Broncos.
