The Denver Broncos are primed to rebound in 2018 but they are going to need some help from a few players to get it done. Who will break out in 2018?

The Denver Broncos are hoping to go from worst-to-first in the AFC West in 2018, and if they are going to do that, they’ll need some help from some of their young breakout player candidates.

John Elway has constructed a pretty good looking roster in Denver and coming off of a 5-11 season, he’s hoping some of the players the team has invested in will find a way to step up and make an impact in 2018.

Which players could be breakout studs for the Broncos this season?

Let’s take a look…

Connor McGovern, OG

The Broncos’ offensive line needs a jolt heading into the 2018 season, as they have been one of the worst units in the league over the past few seasons.

Connor McGovern was a fifth-round pick for the team in the 2016 NFL Draft and enters his second offseason working as a starting lineman.

Last offseason, the Broncos had McGovern filling in for Matt Paradis in the offseason at center as he worked his way back from double hip surgery.

This year, McGovern is practicing and playing a position he has a much better chance of sticking at the right guard position.

One of the strongest and most athletic players on the team pound-for-pound, McGovern has been developing with the Broncos now for three offseasons and is finally on his way to an opening day starter position.

With the addition of Jared Veldheer at right tackle, the Broncos could potentially have a formidable front if McGovern steps up and plays as well as he is capable of.
