It feels like each year the New England Patriots and Tom Brady grow closer to a parting of ways. Whether that’s due to his retirement or them actually granting a release due to a division with Bill Belichick is unknown. What is clear is the team is not prepared for his departure at present. They don’t have a young quarterback they can move forward with. That’s why they grab Jarrett Stidham here. The Auburn QB still has a lot to prove, but he’s flashed the sort of traits that make for a franchise guy from a good arm to accurate passing and an ability to play under pressure.
