The Raiders haven’t had a viable present at linebacker in a long time.. This in addition to their ongoing question marks at edge rusher. The beauty of drafting somebody like Josh Allen is he can help to solve both problems. He has experience playing inside and is a fluid athlete with the speed to go sideline-to-sideline. All the while he’s a capable edge rusher as well, showing explosion and a knack for bending around blockers to get the quarterback. This sort of versatility is rare and could be put to good use in helping to overcome the void left by losing Mack as Ferrell is already helping to do.
